Notable Achievements for 1st Season

West Carroll Wings Track & Field Program started its inaugural season in March of this year with 18 athletes between the ages of 6-18 years. While relatively small in number, the program debuted strongly at local area events consistently taking top medal honors and ribbon placements. In a matter of four months team members were prepared to participate in district, regional, & national qualifying meets. A total of five (5) members participated in last weekend’s AAU Area 3 National Qualifying event held in Hagerstown, MD: Chris Campbell, Kallie Palumbo, Sarah Pernell, Emma Taggart and Laila Campbell, 8 yrs.

Taking it to New Heights

Program Director and Coach Jonathan Pernell is excited and already planning for next year’s season as there is only one way but to go up. The West Carroll Wings program anticipates program growth and is currently looking for additional support. Mr. Pernell invites those in the community to consider supporting the track and field program by volunteering to coach, help coordinate the program and/or provide sponsorship support to help defray the costs.
