Outdoor Practices are going to be held on a variety of days starting on 3/21/22. This first practice will be a meet the coaches / intro to practice on 3/29/21. We will also hand out the practice schedule at this practice.
 

Track Meets are typically held on Sunday afternoons (starting after most church services) throughout the season.

2022 Cost Information:

• $90 Registration for a single athlete

• Multiple athlete discounts are available for athletes in the same household

• One Standard Uniform will be provided to each registered athlete that will have to be returned in good working order at the end of the season. If you wish, you may purchase a uniform instead of using the loaned out uniform. Warm-Up's will not be required but you may purchase them if you wish and may be purchased separately at either registration or later.

Notes Concerning Registration:
1.  Standard Registration for Spring 2022 is for ages 6 years old through Middle School.
2.  High School registration (Post Season Competition Season) is separate and more information will follow.

FIRST PRACTICE / MEET THE COACHES NIGHT / PROGRAM OVERVIEW

An overview about the program will be presented and will allow parents the opportunity to meet the coaches while learning about the West Carroll Wings. This will also be a workout for the athletes.

PRACTICES, MEETS AND UNIFORMS
All participants will receive a uniform to use for the season that must be returned at the end of the season. The team primary colors are Red, White, and Blue.

Practice times are 530-730pm. Coaches may add practice times when season starts pending on field and team availability.

There are approximately 8 regular meets per season and are typically on Sunday afternoons located throughout Carroll, Frederick, and Howard counties but with COVID we are unsure of how many there will be.

EQUIPMENT

Light weight sneakers - For 1st year athletes/or those still figuring out which events to participate in. Track spike shoes - may be encouraged for those experienced athletes/or for specific events.

END OF SEASON

At each meet athletes can earn ribbons and medals. Wings athletes that qualify for District, Regional, and National meets will continue training through June and July. 
The team typically holds an end of season celebration (not to include kick-ball) to acknowledge notable achievements and close out the year with a fun activity.

COACHES/VOLUNTEERS

West Carroll Wings is a volunteer organization, and we invite you to support our efforts. Help is always needed in coaching, program support and fund-raising. If you are interested in volunteering to support the program or team please let us know!!!! 

MEDICAL INSURANCE

Program participants are required to carry their own medical insurance. If school age participants do not have insurance, accident coverage can be purchased through the Carroll County Public Schools Board of Education sponsored plan K12 Voluntary Student Accident. Contact the plan administrator at 1-855-742-3135 for more information or to purchase coverage.
