About our Club

The West Carroll Wings Track and Field Program is a sponsored program of the West Carroll Rec Council.  The program is a recognized Athletic Amateur Union (AAU) registered club. The Wings program is designed to develop prospective athletes in Elementary and Middle School who have an interest in improving their physical fitness, mental stamina, teamwork, and leadership skills through organized competition in track and field.  The Wings practice on a variety of days at schools located in the New Windsor, Union Bridge and Taneytown area.  This year training will begin in March indoors and will move outside in April.The Wings compete in regular season meets primarily hosted by Mid Maryland Track Association area clubs in Carroll, Frederick, and Howard counties.  Athletes also have the opportunity to participate in post-season meets requiring qualifying performances and these meets are held throughout the state, region, and then culminating into the National Jr Olympic meet.
